What are the best sources for Wallpaper? The Ultimate Wallpaper Guide

I love using wallpaper and am always excited when a client tells me that they are up for incorporating it into a space in their home. Typically I have tended to use wallpaper in powder rooms and dining rooms, but lately I have used it in a couple of bedrooms and an office. It makes such an impact even if you go with a more subtle paper.

Here is a roundup of some of my favorite places to find wallpaper!

I’ll start with York Wallcoverings which is the company that makes this beautiful paper we used in my client’s home office. I love that this paper has a bit of golden shimmer to it and yet still works so well in this masculine space.

Next up is Serena & Lily ! We used this paper as an accent wall behind my client’s bed and it is so subtle but really makes the room sing. I have another bedroom project ongoing right now and we just had a Serena and Lily grasscloth paper installed - I can’t wait to share the finished room photos.

Phillip Jeffries has SO many options that I love and is my first choice when a client wants to go BOLD and dramatic. I love how we transformed both of these bathroom by incorporating their fabulous patterns.

Graham and Brown makes so many fun options and this one was the winner for my client’s dining room. We also installed the wall paneling because I think this type of pattern could get a bit too busy if it were floor to ceiling in a space this large.

I love Anthropologie for their fashion and home decor, but they also sell some playful and whimsical wallpaper.

Where are your favorite places to shop for wallpaper? Are you planning to use wallpaper in your home this year?

Family Room Dining Room Transformation - Wyckoff NJ interior designer

I am so excited to share this newly transformed family room. This project was a total blank slate which is always my favorite type. My clients wanted to incorporate built-ins to the large back wall of the family room and then add more seating as well.

The blue tones are so calming and serene and make for such a lovely color palette.

Here is a “before” photo that I took when I first met my clients earlier this year.

As you can see, the built-ins make such a huge impact!

Selecting all of the little details - from the decor on the coffee table to everything that you see on the shelves of the built-ins - is my favorite part of the project!! I love styling tables and shelves.

The family room opens up to the dining room which also got a transformation! We installed a new light fixture, drapes and replaced the table and chairs. There also used to be wallpaper in the space that we swapped out for paint and then the carpenter added paneling to the bottom half of the walls.

Here is where we started with the dining room!

I am so happy with how this space came together for my clients!

Holiday Gift Guide 2023 Holiday Wish List

My family does a Secret Santa and we all set up a wish-list on Elfster. I have been adding things to my list and have been going through all of the items on my family members’ lists. I have two teenage daughters who also started to put things on their Elfster. I pulled my favorites to create a little holiday gift guide / wish list to share.

My older daughter is a big tea drinker and I love this set that I found on her Elfster. My husband has this shirt on his list which is such a classic. I already own these Anthro slippers and wear them every night as I hate being cold.

Happy Shopping!

There are also some great design finds like this rug at 50% off that I have in my den and LOVE!!

I've used this rug in a client project and it is also 50% off - it's gorgeous!!

I just ordered this beautiful ceramic vase for $24 which is 50% off right now!

PS I also offer gift certificates if you are looking for another idea to put on your list.

Does anyone else’s family use Elfster for their Secret Santa gift exchange? We also use it for birthday gift wish lists too and I have to say that it’s been fun to be surprised each special occasion to open something that I am super excited to receive. And it makes giving gifts really fun too since you know that the gift will be so appreciated.

Teen Bedroom Design - Bergen County NJ decorator

I am so thrilled to share this teen room makeover! My client and her daughter were so much fun to work with every step of the way as we transformed her bedroom. On the initial questionnaire form, my client wrote that she was “Looking for something softer/more feminine” and I think we definitely achieved that goal with the finished space. Now I am antsy to get started on another teen bedroom transformation so get in touch if you’d like to chat about a new room for your tween or teen!

Here is the photo that I took when I first met my client and her daughter.

Let’s zoom in a bit to see the fantastic wallpaper accent wall behind the bed. It is a subtle and sophisticated pattern.

The other side of the room features a gorgeous built-in including a desk - here is a peek (I love the desk chair).

This built-in was designed to not only include a desk, but it also provides so much storage that there is now no need for a dresser in the room anymore.

When I first met my client for our consultation, her daughter had a dresser and a desk along with a couple of other storage pieces.

Now the space is so much more streamlined and I love how everything is hidden for such a clean look.

Every teen needs a mirror in their room and I love how we have such a pretty view in the reflection of this large brass wall mirror.

I would love to work on more teen and tween bedroom transformations- they have become my favorite type of project.
