Family Room Dining Room Transformation - Wyckoff NJ interior designer

I am so excited to share this newly transformed family room. This project was a total blank slate which is always my favorite type. My clients wanted to incorporate built-ins to the large back wall of the family room and then add more seating as well.

The blue tones are so calming and serene and make for such a lovely color palette.

Here is a “before” photo that I took when I first met my clients earlier this year.

As you can see, the built-ins make such a huge impact!

Selecting all of the little details - from the decor on the coffee table to everything that you see on the shelves of the built-ins - is my favorite part of the project!! I love styling tables and shelves.

The family room opens up to the dining room which also got a transformation! We installed a new light fixture, drapes and replaced the table and chairs. There also used to be wallpaper in the space that we swapped out for paint and then the carpenter added paneling to the bottom half of the walls.

Ridgewood Breakfast room transformation - NJ decorator

I am so excited to share photos of this transformation of the breakfast room in this Ridgewood home. It is such a bright and happy space for my clients to share many meals together.

We went dark with a sleek black metal table and the classic woven-strap chairs to contrast with the soft white walls and linen fixture.

Here is what it looked like before we painted, installed a new light fixture and selected all new furniture.

I love the sight lines into the living room from the table - what a view!! Here you can also get a closer look at the beautiful linen drum shade fixture.

Ridgewood Living Room Transformation - Bergen County designer

I am so excited to share this Ridgewood living room transformation. Many people have a formal living room in their home that rarely gets use. But my clients wanted to create a room where they could unwind after a long day and listen to music and have more of a kid-free space separate from their kid friendly family room.

Here is a before photo- you will notice that in addition to new paint color and furnishings, we also had a beautiful light fixture installed where previously there was only recessed lighting.

Here is a closer photo of the record player displaying some of their favorite albums. And the mirror is a big statement piece at 7’ tall.

I love the classic fireplace on this side of the room.

Here is a before/after photo - see how we removed that display cabinet when we had the room repainted? It was in an odd place in the room and it looks much cleaner without it.

Bergen County NJ decorator / interior designer Wyckoff

I have been on the hunt for a vintage runner in my kitchen awhile and am so thrilled with this one!! It adds the warmth that I was wanting and it feels good under my feet too. Vintage rugs are all the rage right now and I think it is a trend that will stay around for awhile. I was searching for something that wasn’t too bold because I think the muted colors coordinate better with the tones of our kitchen. I also wanted to avoid anything red which is a common color in a lot of these vintage runners. I came across this one and love how the colors go with the rest of the space. Now I am searching for a similar runner in the mudroom to compliment this one.
