Adding this board and batten feature wall in my client’s master bedroom totally transformed the space. It is a great idea to consider in any room where you want to create a focal point and works best in a large space. I love the way this came together and how it add such a visual interest to the room.

I love to add warmth to light and airy spaces. The easiest way to do that is with bringing in some wood tones and greenery. In a kitchen, bowls and cutting boards are a simple way to add in warmth. Fresh flowers or greenery like this Eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s in a vase is a quick way to spruce up any space.

In a white kitchen it’s important to have some contrast. The black hardware in the knobs and pulls along with the black pendants is a great way to balance out the white cabinets and backsplash tile.

Kitchen Design Northern NJ Bergen County

I just LOVE working on kitchen design projects. This kitchen concept is for a Northern NJ client with a mid century modern style home. The design will feature white inset style cabinets along the perimeter of the kitchen with panels over the fridge and dishwasher. The island will be a deep green color. There will be honed carrara marble countertops throughout the kitchen and black cabinet pulls. The faucet and oven vent hood will be stainless steel and there will be 3” x 12” white subway tile backsplash. The pendants over the island will tie in to the black cabinet pulls and since it’s a big space, there will be some room for open shelving along one wall.

The vision board is the first step when embarking on a kitchen design project. This helps clients to get a general over view of the elements and how they work together. After working with a kitchen cabinet maker we then create the exact layout of the space and rendering.

Year in Review - NJ interior designer

I took a mini social media break while we were on vacation in Arizona this week (will post photos tomorrow). I’m ready to get back to work to kick off 2020 but first a look back at my Top Nine of 2019! It’s a fun mix of different projects that I completed (plus one inspo) and I just love them all! Thank you SO much for all of your love and kind words as I share my work and life over here. I’m so grateful for all of the wonderful clients that I’ve worked with and people who I’ve met all thanks to this little app.
