New Build - Montclair Family Room Transformation

It took a year between first meeting my clients and taking the after photos - but this project was WELL worth the wait!!! I love this new build home which is filled with natural light, beautiful millwork, tall ceilings and an open layout. Today I will be sharing the family room which is open to their kitchen and has doors to the beautiful backyard. It came together so perfectly and I am so excited for my clients who get to call this home!

There is plenty of seating with two sofas and two side chairs. I selected neutral fabrics for the seating and brought it color and pattern with the pillows and rugs. The artwork also adds such a fantastic pop of color.

How sweet is that little side table between the chairs?! I also love how the mix of colors and patterns came together between the rug, ottoman and pillows.

Montclair NJ kitchen transformation

I am so excited to share the photos from this amazing kitchen transformation in Montclair NJ. My clients have such a charming home from the 1920’s and their kitchen was in need of a makeover because it was lacking storage and space. We were able to add an additional window and functional island, as well as more cabinets, by removing a little nook in between the kitchen and dining room.

For the cabinets, we selected a really pretty green/grey color that pairs so perfectly with the soapstone countertops and new wood floors stained Early American.

I love the open shelves in this corner - we had them stained a tiny bit darker than the floors (Provincial) which is such a great contrast to the hand-cut subway tiles and cabinet color.

The farmhouse sink not only looks beautiful but provides so much space - who wouldn’t want to wash dishes right here?!

We selected the soapstone after looking at many slabs at the stoneyard and I am so thrilled with the end result. There is nothing like a natural stone, especially in a 100 year old home.

Here is a BEFORE photo so that you can see where we started. Notice how removing that nook on the left really opened up the space.

Having an additional window in the kitchen also allows for so much more natural light.

Ridgewood NJ interiror designer Bathroom progress

I am working on 8 bathrooms (3 in Montclair, 3 in Woodcliff Lake, 1 in Ridgewood and 1 in Upper Saddle River) and am so excited about all of them! Here are some progress photos from the Ridgewood bathroom transformation. We have been working on this space since February and it’s almost complete.

Here is a photo of the tile selections, faucet, vanity stain (custom vanity) and hardware for the vanity.

The vanity has been delivered!!
