Bergen County NJ decorator- Dining Room Preview

I’ve been working with a wonderful client who purchased a home in Bergen County NJ in need of some updates. The size of the rooms are great but just haven’t been updated in a long time. So I wanted to share where we are now and where we started from with her dining room. So here is the tiny preview:

And here is the dining room on the day that I met the client a couple of months ago:

So first we had the wallpaper removed (although I must admit I thought the wallpaper had a very Anthropologie type of vibe going for it). Then we had wainscotting installed and the walls were painted a gorgeous blue/grey to contrast with the White Dove wainscotting. Next were the light fixtures - I paired a black chandelier with black sconces. I LOVE them both!! We are doing upholstered chairs for the 2 heads of the table and then black wooden chairs for the sides of the table. There will be a beautiful natural oak table coming soon so that I can share more of the room and a full reveal soon!!

2018 Wrap up - Bergen County NJ interior designer

As I reflect on my first year as a Northern NJ interior designer, I am so grateful for all of the clients who welcomed me into their homes and worked with me to transform a space. It has been a busy year with lots of fun projects - many of which are still on-going into the new year. I have two big projects that I’ve been working on for the past couple of months that involved a renovation and multiple rooms. So I will have lots of new photos to share in the coming weeks.

I look forward to 2019- I already signed up for a 2 day interior design workshop in March and have a couple of clients who will be starting on renovations in the spring. So stay tuned!

Master Bedroom interior designer in Bergen County NJ

I recently was hired by a new client needing help with several rooms in her new home. We decided to get started first on her master bedroom and I was so excited to see this space transformed. I presented her with a couple of different options and am curious to hear which one you prefer.

So you have a sense of where we are starting from, here is the current photo of the space. Everything in the room is going including the wallpaper:

My client picked the grey night tables so now we’ve made some tweaks. I decided to move the art to the side of the window (there will be a coordinating framed art on the other side of the window). As you can see in the photo, the ceiling height is a bit wonky where the bed is (only 89” from floor to molding) so since we are going with a larger headboard than what she currently has I think the art will make more of an impact on the side wall. They are each going to be 24 x 30 framed pieces! So now we are almost done with the room! I can’t wait to share photos when everything is here!! The bed and rug are backordered until the end of February so I will have to be patient and wait until March for the finished photos.

Family Room design progress Ridgewood NJ interior designer

Here is an update to my previous post about the family room built-ins! The painting is finally done and I couldn’t be happier with the color. It is Benjamin Moore Bone Black which is one of my favorites. I think it is a great contrast with the wall and TV Barn Door color, Swiss Coffee (also Benjamin Moore). I can’t wait to share photos of the finished product all styled!
