Before / After Living Room - Interior designer in Bergen County NJ

Here is a fun post as I get to share a completed project including Before photos! I first met this Wyckoff client back in March when they needed help with paint colors for several rooms in their house and a living room transformation. They were keeping their existing leather sofa but everything else was going and they needed all new furniture, rug, drapes and art.

I absolutely love how it turned out - here is a shot of the finished space:

Kitchen with a navy island - Bergen County kitchen designer

Yesterday I checked in on a kitchen project that I’ve been working on in Ramsey. The newly painted navy island looks amazing with the new pendants and stools! I love the combination of the brown stools (with such fun detailing) against the navy. The previous island was wood and when combined with the wood floors and the wood table and chairs it was a lot of brown wood. Painting it navy made such a HUGE difference. And allowed us to bring in the super cool brown stools now that there is a contrast.

I selected the pendants to replace the old ones because I love how open they are and the black coordinates with the legs on the stools.

We are just waiting on one more item to come in for the open shelving that I styled and a new rug for under the kitchen table……then I can post a full reveal!!

Here is the BEFORE photo - my client already had a beautiful new kitchen but needed help with the finishing touches. So I found new lighting (pendants as well as a light fixture over the table). island stools, shelf styling, a wall clock, new fabric for seat cushions and banquette, rug for under the table. and new island color.

Little Boy Nursery Design - Bergen County NJ decorator

Today I want to share a little more about the process of working together on a space. I’m sharing an AFTER photo of a nursery that I designed for a client renovating their house. It’s always so fun to see the finished product and I want to share how we got to the finish line in this adorable space. I love this customized wall art and how it pairs with the dark navy dresser - these are pieces that will stay in the room for many years as they don’t scream “baby!!”. The rug is super soft and a perfect neutral tone. It was fun adding the star stickers to the wall to add a little whimsy to the space.

How did we get here? Let’s start with the concept board that I presented to my client.

The next step after presenting the concept board was showing my client a rendering of the room to better visualize what the end result would look like.

Bathroom design Bergen County NJ interior designer

I am so excited to share this fun powder room that I’ve been working on for my client who is at the end of a 5 month renovation / addition. I don’t have any “Before” photos since this was a brand new bathroom that didn’t exist before the renovation. But the “After” is still super exciting to me!

When I first started on this bathroom project I presented my client with two options - “fun” tile on the floor with more neutral walls. OR wallpaper on the wall with a more neutral tile on the floor. I had gone to the tile store and took photos of 3 examples of the tile that I had in mind and was thrilled when they went along with the fun tile idea. This tile has such pretty blues and pale greens in it so for the wall color I selected a very pale blue that perfectly compliments the blue in the tile. It is SUPER subtle and looks great against the white trim.

How cute is that light fixture over the mirror?! That was an etsy find! And I like how clean and modern the black and white selections look in the space.
