Today is a fun before and after reveal of this Wyckoff teen boy’s bedroom transformation. I loved this project because everything in the room was being removed so even though it was a very small room, it was a blank slate and that is always my favorite type of project. My client wanted a design that will grow with him (he is in middle school now) and he absolutely loves his new grown up space.

Here is the new dresser which I paired with this fun mirror. I wish I had a spot in my own house for this mirror. The new wall color really makes a difference too!

Ready to see the BEFORE photo?! The new design has the bed along the wall where the dresser used to be so that he now faces the window when he wakes up. The dresser is now where the bed/loft used to be.

I’ve been working on kitchen projects for two clients and the topic of pretty oven vent hoods have come up. The vent hood is such a great opportunity to bring in some visual interest on the wall and break up the line of cabinets. With our hood I had my carpenter match the wood used in the open shelving and the wood brings a lot of warmth into the white kitchen.

Here is a zoomed out view that features a new vase that I added to my collection. This is a vase that I selected for a client’s built in shelves and when I saw it on her shelves I knew that I had to have one for myself.

Master Bedroom design Ramsey NJ interior designer

A tall statement mirror was the perfect piece to fill in this space between the closet and bathroom. It’s functional and even more stunning in person. It’s 36” x 78” and if you look closely you can spy a framed @juniperprintshop beauty on the wall.

It’s been quiet over here because I took a 2 week vacation! Now we are home sweet home which feels great!! After living in close quarters on vacation it’s nice to have our kitchen to hang out in:

For a few nights it was a great experience and I think it would be an awesome way to live as a couple or a single person. For 4 of us it was tight but a fun way to try it out! The girls slept in lofts and my husband and I were on the main floor in a really comfy queen size bed. There was a decent size kitchen and bathroom and a sofa too.
